ABOUT STEM TEACHERS
The STEM Teachers program is designed to empower educators with the knowledge, skills, and strategies needed to deliver meaningful, future-ready STEM education in their classrooms. Through training workshops and professional development opportunities, the program helps teachers strengthen their understanding of key STEM concepts and innovative approaches to teaching and learning.
For its first face-to-face workshop post-pandemic, Mano Amiga Philippines partnered with Globe to conduct a Teacher Training Program for STEM teachers at National Teachers College. The training aimed to equip educators with practical tools and insights that they can apply in creating engaging, student-centered learning experiences.
The two-day workshop focused on Futures Thinking and Social-Emotional Learning in STEM. A total of 35 teachers participated in the program, gaining a deeper understanding of their role in shaping students’ perspectives, nurturing curiosity, and preparing learners for the challenges and opportunities of the future.
By providing teachers with hands-on strategies and innovative teaching practices, the STEM Teachers program supports the integration of STEM education in an authentic and impactful way. The program seeks to strengthen classroom learning, inspire confidence among educators, and help cultivate the next generation of STEM learners and innovators.
